PRICING:
Quotes are valid for 30 days from original date given. Beyond 30 days prices are subject to change. Should you decide to accept our quote for repair, a 50% deposit is required to reserve our services. Once you provide a deposit, materials are ordered and refunds can no longer be issued. Site assessment trips are due in full at the time of booking an appointment.
GENERAL REPAIRS:
Estimates are not a guaranteed price, as they are based off customer provided information and subject to change upon actual site assessment. Estimates do not include any possible parts or materials needed and also does not include any possible extended time needed to complete the repair. Any additional factors to the original estimate will be discussed with the customer, prior to installation, for approval.
In some cases, a window’s trim (glazing bead/vinyl or wood stops) or other components may have become weak and/or brittle due to weather exposure, or may be overly adhered to the window glass or frame. While we take great care in the removal and replacement of these parts, damage may be unavoidable. Unless otherwise indicated on the quote, the replacement of these parts is not included. If replacement is required, we will supply the replacement parts for an additional cost. Exact match parts may or may not be available.
We also cannot guarantee a repair can be completed. This could be due to, but not limited to, custom design manufacturing or product lifetime concerns. Damage from termites or wood rot is often not observable until we disassemble the window. In such cases, we will carefully replace the glass, but payment for the glass replacement is still required regardless of the underlying damage.
We will do our best to assess leaking, however, we cannot guarantee the issue can be replicated in order to identify the issue and repair required. Any payment for our trip will be required.
INSULATED GLASS UNITS:
Please reach out to Central Florida Glass if a unit we installed has failed (foggy appearance). Warranty policies will depend on the manufacturer, as Central Florida Glass did not fabricate the unit. Reasons that may void a possible warranty claim would include, but not limited to:
the failure of, damage to, or defects in the Products resulting from or caused by: the placement of any type of aftermarket film; improper usage; installations in or around swimming pool enclosures, green houses or any other environment that has continuous or cyclical high moisture; use of cleaners, solvents, acids, alkalis or any other chemicals on or around finished Products; improper storage of Products; faulty building construction or design; glass breakage, whether spontaneous, accidental or from any other cause; Acts of God, including, but not limited to hurricanes, flooding, earthquakes or other types of natural disasters and/or abnormal weather conditions; acts of negligence, or the misuse or abuse of the Product; improper installation; failure to comply with our technical data sheets and other written instructions, applicable building codes and regulations, and standard industry practices; incompatibility with other coatings, sealants, gaskets, lubricants, insulation or any other materials; normal wear and tear due to usage; and scratches or abrasions to the Products.
Any possible warranty issue will be null and void in the event that full payment is not received for goods and services.
SHOWER ENCLOSURES:
Installation of shower enclosures generally require holes to be drilled through tile and/or stone surface for proper fastening. Central Florida Glass cannot be liable for cracking, chipping, or breakage of these materials that may occur during, or after, the installation process. The strength of these materials (e.g. tile, stone, etc.) are largely determined by type of material, degree of adhesion to the substrate material, and the existence of naturally and/or unnaturally occurring fissures in the materials. Should this occur, we will pause the job and reschedule the installation once the customer has repaired the tile.
Additionally, we cannot be held responsible for stains or discoloration that may be visible on tile, stone, or other surface(s) before or after removal of existing shower enclosures.
Frameless and Semi-frameless showers are not a watertight system, and will more than likely leak. To minimize water leakage, position showerheads toward tiled walls or fixed panels, not opposite doors or openings.
Central Florida Glass warranties all of our shower door installations and hardware against workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of installation. Polycarbonate or Acrylic sweeps, seals and door stops are not warrantied. Keep in mind that replacement of these materials is considered routine maintenance and needs to be done periodically; therefore, they are considered the owner’s responsibility.
There is no warranty against glass breakage or chipping once the product has left our care and custody. If a breakage does occur at any time we will make every reasonable effort to make a quick replacement at the most reasonable price. Manufacturer defects in glass can occur from time to time and are typically within acceptable industry standards. However, if we have missed something in our inspection process, you will have up to 7 days from the installation date to bring this to our attention.
This warranty does not cover damage caused through faulty design of your residence or business, adjustments required due to house settling, damage or failure due to misuse, careless handling, alteration, misapplication, improper use of cleaning products, accidents, owner negligence, abuse, or to acts of nature.
Use of harsh, abnormal, or abrasive chemical cleaning products will void the warranty; please follow guidelines provided for proper maintenance. Discoloration or stains due to improper water chemistry, hard and non-filtered well water are not covered.
If glass is purchased with a glass coating, please follow the coating manufacturer’s directions for cleaning.
This warranty does not cover water leakage on any frameless shower enclosure. Due to the nature and design of these products it is not always possible to achieve a watertight seal when no frame is used.
All sales are final. We do not issue refunds. Our warranty is offered to the original purchaser and only as it relates to the original installation.
PROTECTING YOUR PROPERTY
We encourage you to remove window coverings, furniture, wall hangings and other personal belongings from areas leading to, and immediately surrounding, where work will be performed. We will not be responsible for damage to personal property that has not been removed from these areas.
FORFEITURE
If customer has not picked up their item submitted for repair within sixty (60) days after they were notified it is ready to be delivered or returned, then we, at its election, may retain or destroy the item. Customer shall be deemed to have declined its return and forfeited its rights to the product after the expiration of the sixty (60) day period. We reserve the right to amend this policy at any time without any prior notice.
